Our drinking straws are made of our own developed and manufactured bioplastic (PLA) product, in bioplastic packaging. Firstly, they are made from renewable, plant-based resources (with a low CO2 footprint), which has been certified by TÜV Austria ("OK Biobased" certification), and secondly, they are biodegradable through biological processes (industrially compostable), breaking down into natural materials during decomposition. Their heat resistance is up to 40°C, making them hand washable and reusable. The bioplastic material is certified free of PFAS (persistent chemicals), BPA (bisphenol-A), and phthalates. Finally, we can also manage the composting of our drinking straws, as we practice industrial composting and market these devices (see 'products / composting machines' section).
